When I login to frx reports with our company I'm not propted for any type of
credentials. But, I do get a message that says
"Specset database security does not match current FRxSys32 security
setting. Specset is secured by another FRxSys32."
I'm not sure if a file got corrupted or if there is a way around this issue.
We can't loginto our reports b/c of this issue. |

Justin,
This is Kelly and I will be assisting you with this FRx error.
I would like you to go through the following items for this issue:
Resolution 1:
A new Specification Set may need to be created. The Rows, Columns, Trees,
and Catalogs need to be exported out of the old Specification Set and
Imported into the new Specification Set.
Here are the steps to create a new Specification Set and Export/Import the
Reports.
1. Launch Microsoft FRx, do not select any company as default click cancel
in this window. You should then be able to navigate within Microsoft FRx
Reporter (If you are unable to navigate with Microsoft FRx Reporter-open up
the frx.ini file in notepad and clear out the information after the equals
sign on the LastCompany= line **example if LastCompany=TWO change to
LastCompany= Once again launch FRx and click cancel when it asks you to
choose a company as default.) Once in Microsoft FRx-select Company -
Specification Sets.
2. Select the New button.
A. Complete the Name and Description.
B. In the Location field, it will default to a path to the SysData directory
and the file FRXRPTS.F32.
1. Change the FRXRPTS.F32 to a different name. Ex. REPORTS.F32.
2. Click on the Save button.
3. In the Specification Sets Window, click on Find and find your old *.F32.
4. Select the Export.
a. You will have to export each of your Rows, Columns, Trees and Catalogs.
i. The default when saving to export is frxexp.tdb. Make sure you change
this for each item that you export, or you will overwrite the file each time
you export.
OR
ii. You can Select All at each Window and export all the formats at once.
5. Once you have exported all of your Rows, Columns and Trees, exit that
window and select Company - Information.
A. Be sure to have the appropriate company selected as default that you are
creating the new Specification Set for. To verify, check the company code in
the lower right corner of the Microsoft FRx Main Control Panel.
6. Click on the Microsoft FRx System Information tab. Now click on the down
arrow, select the new Specification Set and then click Save.
7. Now go the Company - Specification Sets and make sure your new
Specification Set is selected.
A. Now Click on Import.
B. Import each of the *. tdb files that were created during the export
process. C. When finished, click on Save.
8. Check to see if all of the Rows, Columns, Trees and Catalogs have been
imported.
9. The process should be complete.
10. You should now close Microsoft FRx and relaunch Microsoft FRx. You
should now be able to select any company as default.
Resolution 2:
This error can occur if you had FRx Security on in your previous
installation and then copied your files over to a new FRx where Security is
not on (or the opposite scenario). If this is the case, you should be able to
open FRx, cancel out of the login and turn FRx Security on/off by using the
following steps:
1. Go to Admin | Organization | Security.
2. Enable or disable security. Click OK.
3. Log into the FW company.
4. Compact the System Database in FRx by going to File | Compact FRx
Database | FRx System Database.
5. Log into your main company. If you do not receive the error you should be
able to enable to disable FRx Security to your liking now.
Plan:
Let me know the results of the above items and we can go from there.
Thank you!
