Define currencies and exchange rates can be done in the professional version
but not the express version. To turn on the currency screens, open
preferences from the company menu. Find the 'use foreign currencies' setting
and turn it on. This will add a foreign currencies menu to the company menu.
In that menu you will find the commands for defining currencies and updating
exchange rates.

Hope this helps.

You can use multi currency to deal with more than one currency. This is a
feature only in Professional but not in Express edition. To Enable multi
currency go to company menu-> preferences and select "Use foreign
currencies".

I am using Accounting 2008 Prof in South Africa ..and even after following
all the guidelines for multi currency use ie R (ZAR or South African Rand)
for our operations down here...It still shows only (USD) $ as a conversion of
the local currency of South Africa...this is obviously unacceptable...This
was not an issues with Accounting 2007...Can someone help?

Hi Gregz,
I have the same problem here : using pro 2008, I want to make currency drop
downs appear in the various forms. I have activated the foreign currencies,
and followed instructions...but still no drop downs !
Did you solve your issue ? How ?

Hello,

Is funny, cause in version 2006/2007 it does not use foreign currencies but
instead uses all currencies againts the USD, so mostly intended for the US,
so you can invoice at a conversion rate but still in USD form, seems its used
for US comapanies in converted dollars, either more dollars for an item or
less dollars depending on exchange rates, so it's not a real international
software. Thats what support told me to..
